PRESSURE TANK FLOW (WATER PRESENCE) CONTROL RELAY

The device is used for the protection of a building’s pressure tank against dry operation.

It is connected to 1/4” spark-plug type electrodes and directly drives a motor of up to 2HP.

It is plugged directly into a standard household power socket.

The device is used for the protection of a building’s pressure tank against dry operation.

It is connected to 1/4” spark-plug type electrodes and directly drives a motor of up to 2HP.

It is plugged directly into a standard household power socket.

The operating principle of the device is based on the measurement of the difference in resistance between the electrode and the ground. Upon connecting to the power supply and after a preset delay of 30sec, it checks for the presence of water. If water is detected the relay is activated, otherwise the relay remains deactivated until water is present.

The use of safe, alternating low voltage between electrode and ground prevents the phenomenon of electrolysis. The composite resistance of the water should be less then 20 kΩ.
